Many a deal has been clinched by gardens. But why wait until you put your property in the market before developing a garden to attract buyers? Because not only does is attract and increase value, a garden can also be a source of joy for you, the seller. Of course, a garden doesn’t mean you just plant plants at random. Here are a few tips into making that expanse of green and brown land into something colorful.

First, find out what plants best grow in your part of the world. Putting up a garden that won’t hold plants isn’t really a good idea. When you have established this, study the layout of the land to know where the garden would start and where it would end. Take into account the amount of sunlight that can be accessed in your chosen location as this is very vital for the plants survival.

A clear path to the garden is important. If your garden can be viewed from the street, then it is equally important to establish a path towards the gate. You don’t want to trample on your plants as you leave for work, do you?

Leave a spot of green grass that could serve as play area in case you’re aiming for families to buy your property. The kid is a major consideration when families buy a property so a play area for them is a big plus!

However, if you’re property is ideal for those people who don’t have time to maintain a garden but still finds it enjoyable to have one then you could just put up something low maintenance. Dry gardens or Zen gardens developed by Zen Buddhists are increasing in popularity with some of its designs somewhat low maintenance. Still, it is equally appealing as the conventional gardens.
